I went to visit four teachers (two CRS, one P.E teacher and one English teacher). All four have worked together to create several learning experiences utilziing webquest. They not only focused on how to use this tool within and integrated into the curriculum topics, but they built a foundation and began to expand upon that foundation of how to build your own webquest and what process/programing and problem solving skills are needed to be able to create this webquest. So, even though this is few and far between, there are some educators out there that are exposing students to programing and web construction as a tool for life long learning and mastery of curriculum topics.

Did you see the article about the Russian high school student that created a website called http://chatroulette.com/? It is now a valuable hot commodity, he wrote it in three days. I guess programming skills are valuable!

WOW Karen, your really surprised me with your choice of a 21st century skill, programming. I don't disagree with you, I would have never chosen this skill as one I or students would need. I can see where you are going with programming as a problem-solving activity. But of course it would be. Thanks for continuing to stretch me.
